NHLPA – a giant step in the wrong direction

What is wrong with the NHL players association?  They fired their union head, Paul Kelly probably at the suggestion of wanna-be important person Buzz Hargrove, of the Canadian Auto workers (CAW).  How did that gig work out for you Buzz?  All the Auto manufacturers were on the verge of bankruptcy, but hey, your union brothers and sisters were making top dollar.  So what if union greed almost destroyed those companies.  Now Buzz wants to do the same to the NHL.  Mark my words when I say that if the NHL players go on strike next year or the year after, that it will spell the end of the NHL.

Pro sports will never be the same.

Millionaires do not need unions.

What are these unions protecting the workers from?  Being underpaid?  It’s a joke!  If for one will stop supporting NHL hockey if they go on strike unless the league returns from the ashes without a union, with the average salary under half-a-million dollars and teams in areas that matter.  The NHLPA will do for the NHL as the CAW did for Ford, Crysler and GM.

If Buzz takes over, it’s bye bye NHL.
